Get-together with PLS scholars

In March 2023, our committee members Cecille, Alice, Filipe, Fabiola and Megan visited the Philippines to follow up on old and identify new projects. On 14th March, they met up with Arlene, the PLS scholarship program coordinator, and 20 PLS scholars for lunch in Manila. 19 young men and women graduated from their university degrees between 2017 and 2022 and spoke about their current jobs and successes. Ariel Pabitu, a 20-year-old scholar studying computer engineering at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines told us about his dream of becoming a senior engineer at a big, international Tech company one day.
